Thomas kieffer, talented songwriter, is an offspring of the rock scene of Strasbourg (FRANCE). At fifteen years old, he was hugely impressed by bands such as Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin or Deep Purple. But it was a Video clip from Jane’s Addiction, playing at a moutain top that got him ignited. He then decided to tame the guitar art and, today, he still keeps this fire at heart. Self made man, he developped his very own sound and universe, even in his very beginning.
It was during the 90’s that he first heard the calls of the stage.He decided to form “green jaw cathy” and then, the well known “P-brane”, in a very rock spirit. But soon, playing with bands became more and more restrictive for his wide creativity, that’s why he moved on and threw himself in a totally new adventure ... a solo career. Since then, his composing and performing abilities found enough room, freedom and the sensitiveness of expression he was craving for. The circle was at last complete...
At 35, his resumé is very impressive. He played in legendary concert halls as the Bataclan, the Olympia, the Eurockéennes de Belfort, the Transbordeur and many other Zenith’s class halls, opening for even more legendary artists as Canned Heat, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Gary Moore or Scorpions.
In 2008 he headed to England, touring during 20 shows and conquered the heart of the londonian audience. That was only a first step because he soon headed to America to share his music. There, the cities of Raleigh, Chapel Hill or Durham discovered a mesmerizing french artist but also an international songwriter.
Thus, alone with his guitar and thanks to a very complex instrumental network, he breaks all music conventions and performs a very unique rock/folk-electro experience on stage.There he creates, records, adds rythm and, litterally, manipulates riffs using his guitar in order to compose melodies or to build intricated percussion... loops after loops.
In his studio album “Beautiful Hands” (2009), recorded by David Husser (Indochine, Rodolphe Burger, Speed Caravan etc.), Thomas shows us the true variety of his artwork and talent, plus, as an inspired artist, his melodies go right to the heart just to stay there and turn into some enchanting inprints on our emotions.
